2019 started off with the buzz of folding phones finally making it to the market but after Samsung's fiasco with Galaxy Fold, the hype died down. Now, after the Fold is finally available to buy, Motorola is ready to unveil what it has been baking for a long time. The Lenovo-owned firm has sent out invites to the global media and from what it seems, it is going to be the rumoured 2019 Moto Razr folding phone. The launch is happening on November 13.
Motorola has mostly stayed mum about the folding phone but it did hint earlier this year that the company is working on a phone with a folding display. Motorola didn't reveal anything but soon after, the universe of smartphone leaks gave out the official renders of the Moto Razr, complete with the packaging box and all the specifications. And the invite that Motorola has sent to the media sort of confirms that.
The invite shows the original Moto Razr shedding its clothes to give a sneak peek of the upcoming phone, with curved edges and a modern hinge that looks somewhat similar to hinge of the Galaxy Fold. The GIF image says, "An original like no other," followed by the phrase "highly anticipated unveiling of a reinvented icon." If this doesn't point at the new Moto Razr, nothing else will until Motorola launches it officially.
